On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, Lantern Residences is honored to participate as a vendor at the Charleston Veteran Stand Down for Homelessness, held at the Charleston Area Convention Center (Exhibit Halls B & C, 5001 Coliseum Drive, North Charleston) from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

This annual event, coordinated by local veteran service organizations and community partners, brings together critical resources for veterans in need. Attendees can access housing assistance, VA benefits enrollment, medical screenings, employment opportunities, haircuts, warm meals, and essential supplies—all under one roof and free of charge.

Lantern Residences’ Mission in Action

Lantern Residences provides sober and supportive housing that empowers individuals, including veterans, to build a stable foundation for long-term recovery and independence. Our team will be on-site to:

  • Share information about transitional and recovery housing programs
  • Connect veterans with grant and scholarship opportunities (including SCARR Recovery Housing Grants)
  • Offer guidance on case management and next-step planning for those seeking stable housing and recovery support

We are especially proud to stand alongside the Charleston Tri-County community in reducing veteran homelessness and promoting lasting recovery.

An Invitation to Veterans and Community Partners

Whether you are a veteran seeking resources, a family member wanting to help a loved one, or a community partner exploring ways to collaborate, we invite you to visit the Lantern Residences table. Our team will be ready to answer questions, share program details, and build connections that make a difference.
